About the author
A New Zealander by birth, Nigel Watson studied at the universities of Otago, Cambridge, Goettingen and Princeton. After working for six years as a parish minister in New Zealand, he was appointed Professor of New Testament in Ormond College, Melbourne, where he remained until retirement. Over 1997 and 1998, he spent a year teaching at Pacific Theological College in Suva. He is the author of five books, six booklets and more than fifty articles in scholarly journals.
